Event Reports

Sunday, April 29, 2012, 10:23 am
St. Barbra's Church Hall - (Earlsdon, Coventry)

Here we go folks with another party event report.

Today we had the trilogy of three - 1) New Venue 2) New Area 3) New Audience so it was going to be interesting to say the least.

Tammy and me arrived at the venue which is located in a lovely leafy suburb of Coventry and was greeted by the key lady who was very pleasant lady who could not do enough for us which was a great start.

Gear unloaded and set up after which the family arrived and after the usual greetings and intros we had a little chat with The “Star Of The Day” - “Beth” to find out what sort of party she wanted, either a boring one or a fun loud silly one, guess which she chose!!!

Part One saw us launch into the normal chaotic presentation of party dances and silliness which Beth and her friends loved as did the parents who stayed.

I must mention Dad (Steve) who had accepted my drinks challenge!!! This is an on going fun challenge that some parents take up but in the case of Steve who had a good try but unfortunately failed to become the record holder he managed 7 drinks for the roadshow team (the record stands at 12) bad luck mate.

Back to the party, it was soon time for the children to have their food and drinks which at this venue was located in a side room so Tammy lead them off round the main room and into the food room with our food music.

During their break I continued being silly and causing havoc going round the tables trying to pinch the food and the children were in hysterics.

Food over and it was time now for the serious bit of the party, The Birthday Cake.

We got everyone cheering as the cake came in to the main room and we all gave Beth a backwards count down (10-9-8-7 etc) and then she blew) more applause.

Then we got everyone singing the Happy birthday song (Bumble ‘B’ style) cake done it was now time for Part Two of the show.

We kicked off part two with some disco dancing especially Beth’s favourite group “One Direction” and also Alexandra Burke.

But sadly the finale was upon us which ment it was time to get all the mums and das involved with our final two party dances - Doe-a-dear & Country roads.

We gave away the final balloon models and sweeties, and Beth came up for some final words and then it was all over.

I would like to thank Steve and Nicky and all their friends and family for making Tammy and myself so welcome.

Huge Thanks MUST also go to Tammy who worded very well indeed (nice one Tammy)

But the biggest “Thank You” must go to The “Star Of The Day” - “Beth” who is one of the politest little ladies I have ever met!!! And also all her friends.

Thank you Earlsdon, Hope to see you all again soon.

Dad (Steve) says - "Thanks to Mr Mayhem & Tammy for giving Beth such a WICKED party".
