Event Reports

Brand new venue and audience so we (Tammy & I) thought it would be best to make a good impression and arrive early so that is what we did, and due to the lack of traffic we pulled up at 4:15pm and not the 4:45pm as arranged!!!
Bumble ‘B’ Roadshow Top Tip here: - Always get there early because no matter how good the party goes, the organizer will not remember that, all they will remember is that the disco was late!!*
Anyway, on to the event.
We were shown the school staff room by Mrs. Cartledge and drinks were sorted due to having to wait for the drama class using the hall.
I was then shown by the coolest caretaker in the world – “Micky” where to set up etc.
The PTA organizer (Sarah) arrived very soon after as did the rest of her army of helpers and the hall was soon ready for the evenings fun.
Fist in was Key stage 1 (Reception/Y1 &Y2) and there seemed millions of them I looked out of the door at one point and the queue was huge!!!
A fast paced session was unloaded on the children with all our usual show of music & chaos and they loved it and might I add so did the adults, especially the balloon modeling demonstration.
We had a short break then it was time for the second session = KS2(Y3/Y4/Y5/Y6) now I have always maintained that this age group are always up for some serious fun and they also got it with the best version of the “Laughing Policeman” game we have ever done,
I did break with tradition and had three teams and they were:- Team Boy/Team Girl and “Team Lady” (Mrs. Harris - Mrs. Townsend - Mrs. Clarke) and after an hysterical game it was decided that the winners were “Team Old” mainly because they remembered the song anyway and it was really an un fair advantage!!!
It was time to play our finisher of “Country Roads” so we had all the children and adults joining in to end what was an amazing first appearance at the school.
