Event Reports
Here we go then with the event report and our second appearance at the lovely Jaggers Family Club on the RAF Brize Norton Complex.
Again it was myself and team member Tammy attending this party and we were looking forward to it big time.
Arrived at the venue at 09:00am for a “Morning Madness Show” (10am - 12noon) to find the venue open and ready for us that’s the RAF for you!!!
We got set up and did all the usual checks and things were ready for the party.
The first to arrive was Mum No1 (Sarah) along with one half of the birthday duo - “Jacob” and after the normal greetings and hellos Sarah got on with setting up the buffet tables with the help of Dad - (Tony) who loves switching switches, he said “that’s all I do on the aircraft, shut my eyes and press!!!)
A while after mum No2 (Lisa) arrived with the other half of the birthday duo - “Daniel” and now I had both guys together I thanked them for their change of mind about their party.
Originally they had chosen a visit to Lazerquest but after seeing our show decided that it would be more fun to have us instead so the trip was cancelled and boy did this make us feel great - (Thanks boys)
So then on to the party itself - Boy were the children ready for it and the excitement was off the scale!! We delivered our party dances and silliness by the bucket load and the audience lapped it up.
Then it was “Game time” and the main game was “The laughing policeman” and it was really funny to watch.
Tammy took over with this game getting two teams of boys and girls with 3 in each team.
The boys were sorted as was the girls but after standing in front of everybody one of the girls went all wobbly and shy so she had help from a grown up - Enter “Jenny”
The game went very very well and the final was between Ethan and Jenny with Ethan being crowned as the champion, well done buddy.
The food and break then was followed by the birthday cakes which turned out to be two of Sainsbury’s finest, it was during the break that the children all told me that they wanted me to be their new head teacher at their school and Tammy was to be the deputy head!!! I would be paid 15 Jaffa cakes an hour.
Part two was equally as manic with some comedy balloon modelling and disco dancing and we finished the party with everyone joining in with our finishing party dance “Country roads” Tammy and myself then handed the party over to the club’s resident DJ - “Gaz” who played some straight disco dancing tunes while we packed up and loaded the car. The party was incredible and it was a pleasure to do it so “Thank You’s must go to:
Mums - Sarah & Lisa
Dad - Tony for being the “Switchmiester”
Everyone in the audience - you made the party!!
Of course Tammy for all her hard work once again
But the biggest “Thank You” must go to the “Stars of the day” "Jacob & Daniel”
Thank you RAF Brize Norton
